Winter Canaria is a regional inter-island airline based in New Maverick. The airline mainly provides short-haul inter-island routes, and seasonal international routes. The airline has three hubs, Catalan Regional Airport, El Presidente International Airport and John Thompson City Airport.
History[]
Winter Canaria was founded on April 6,2000, by the Serbian government, as a way to provide regional and inter-island routes, and was formed as a regional subsidiary of Air Arctica. In 2008, the holdings company for Air Arctica sold the airline to other groups, as Winter Canaria was to be broken off from the airline. In 2009, the airline officially broke away from Air Arctica. In 2009, the airline began it's first service to Gemini and Newton Town, which were major cities at the time. The airline also started hub operations at both John Thompson City Airport and Catalan Regional Airport. In late 2009, the airline started their Carnival in the Sky campaign, which introduced frequent flyer programs and airline lounges to the airline's operations. Today, the airline remains one of the largest in New Maverick.
