SAIA or Sub-Antarctic Island Airways is a commuter/regional airline that offers inter-island scheduled passenger services to various islands in the Sub-Antarctic The airline has one main hub at Club Penguin City-Amherty International Airport.The airline offers mainly domestic flights, and offers more than 22 destinations across the islands. The airline The airline also maintains a frequent flyer program, called IslandRewards.


The airline was founded in 2001 as IslandAir, which started inter-island services from Crawford Airport on the King George's Island of the Sub-Antarctic. The airline offered domestic commuter services to many islands in the Sub-Antarctic, which was mainly used by commuters.The airline was bought and renamed SAIA, for Sub-Antarctic Island Airways, and stayed at Crawford Airport until 2005, when it moved it's hub operations to Club Penguin City-Amherty International Airport, and increased destinations as well. The airline also was officially declared the state airline of the Sub-Antarctic in 2007.

Coach Class features seats made from cotton and polysester, and feature radio on all Pontrier JRC200 aircraft. Travelers may also receive free magazines, also pre-flight services, and meals on longer inter-island flights, lasting more than 1 and 30 minutes in duration. Passengers also receive free drinks, snacks and pillows and blankets. Passengers also have access to the IslandClub, which is located at select destinations across the islands.
