Paranormal is a television show starring Liam and Tim Worchester, two brothers who travel Antarctica and Freezeland looking for their missing father and battling evil ghosts along the way.

Plot[]

Tim Worchester is a college student bound for law school, determined to escape his family's past - unlike his older brother, Liam. Ever since they were little their father has been consumed with an obsession to find the evil forces that murdered his beloved wife, in result recruiting and training his two young sons to help him in revenge. They have grown up as hunters of the paranormal. Tim escaped under the premise of going to college, and now has a happy life with his girlfriend, Jessie, and a promising future career. Liam, however, stayed behind with his father to join him in his "hunting".

Liam goes to Tim for help when their father goes missing. Now Tim must join his brother to find him. His one weekend trip to search for the missing James Worchester becomes an ongoing quest after a horrible tragedy ruins any thought of a happy life for Tim.

The two brothers, bound by tragedy and blood to their mission, travel across the country encountering terrifying and dangerous forces most believe to be nothing but superstition and folklore, such as the Lady in Black, Phantoms who cause plane crashes, Gorey Mary, Vampenguins, High Penguin spirits and many more.

Filming[]

Though the series is mainly based in Eastshield and Trans-Antarctica, filming takes place in West Yeti, Freezeland. Thus, on-location filming usually takes place in the area. "Deleted in the Ice" was filmed at Carnlough Lake, and the final scenes of "I Didn't Say Simon Says" were filmed at the lift locks. Other locations used on the show are often reused two or three times, with the art department making variations to conceal this. Heritage Park in Bellaghy has been used as a cemetery in "Red Sky at Night", and as the location of the gingerbread-house cottage in "Dreamland". As well, Oceanview Hospital in West Yeti has served many functions for the series, including an asylum in "Crazed", a hospital in "In My Time of Deletion", and a prison in "Prison Blues". Because episodes usually take place in the middle of nowhere, filming often takes place at an old military base. Having been shut down for years, the buildings have been removed, leaving just roads on which sets are erected, such as for crossroads scenes.
