Building of the Dome[]

By the time of the great 1968 blizzard destroying Polar City and then spinning out of control towards the Trans-Antarctic mountains, thus causing an avalanche here, it was clear something had to be done. The South Pole Council thought for a while, then came up with a great idea: What if they could protect Blizzardville entirely from avalanches using a dome? Illustrator Keith got to work as quickly as possible, considering he was born there, and the project was complete within 1 week total. Thankfully, as of 2011, the dome hasn't ever failed to protect Blizzardville from harm.
